A trial ride on the China-Laos Railway was launched for journalists on November 26. The train, which is expected to officially open to traffic in early December, gained global attention these days.

During the trip, the train attendants showed passengers their colorful uniforms. Design of the uniforms was inspired by flowers that imply the colorful and blooming China-Laos friendship.

Attendants show off their colorful uniforms in Kunming on Nov 26 for a trial run of the Chinese section of the China-Laos Railway.

When it comes to the food, the train is equipped with a diners’ carriage in the middle, providing 27 varieties of set meals priced from 15 to 68 yuan.

The set meals not only include popular Yunnan dishes, but also special Dai food, Vientiane food and business lunches for passengers. In addition, the service counter sells drinks and snacks such as fruit juice, milk tea, fried chicken, and popcorn.

Souvenirs on the train are basically cultural products related to China and Laos, such as the board game, embroidered fan, silk scarves, mobile phone lanyards, canvas bags, napkins, and mouse pads.

For example, the wooden hanging ornaments are carved with station buildings and maps along the China-Laos railway line. The hanging rope is stringed with a Chinese knot, which means the friendship and prosperity between China and Laos.
